Waupaca Foundry gets $400,000 in energy incentives | Times Free Press
ETOWAH, Tenn. -- Four years after Waupaca Foundry Inc., reopened its automotive castings plant here, the 560 employees who stamp out thousands of automotive parts every day are operating quite literally in a brighter environment. Over the past four months, 1,016 metal halide and T12 light fixtures were replaced with brighter, and more energy-efficient LED lights. The changeover cost more than $750,000. But the new lights are projected to yield an annual energy savings of more than 4.6 million kilowatthours worth $232,385 a year.
