During the annual Science Fair at Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School, several workers from Waupaca Foundry visited the school to give the students a hands-on manufacturing simulation called Foundry in a Box.
Local hunters support veterans
Area deer hunters helped raise $7,533 for a nonprofit organization that takes Purple Heart recipients hunting and fishing. Hides for Heroes raised the funds for the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation. The foundation is a national nonprofit that provides outdoor sporting activities for Purple Heart recipients who were wounded in combat. Hides for Heroes involves collecting deer hides, salting them and then selling the hides when the market is right.
Waupaca Foundry helps Light Up The Night
This year, Waupaca Foundry was the exclusive presenting sponsor for the 13th annual Light Up The Night for hospice fundraising event hosted by the ThedaCare Foundation in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
