Waupaca Foundry workers earn quality engineering degrees
In an innovative approach to addressing a workplace challenge, Waupaca Foundry worked with Fox Valley Technical College to devise a customized solution. FVTC's Business and Industry Services team is one of the state's leading providers of workplace training initiatives, serving more than 23,000 employees last year. Many of these services include training in the areas of leadership development, communications and quality, which is where the foundry sought the school's help most recently.
Broken window inspires giving
Doran Hardware received $1,700 in donations over and above what it cost to replace a window at his business, after it was vandalized last summer. Including at least one WFI employee. Business owner, Wally Doran said he did not know the man, who told him he works at Waupaca Foundry. The funds are going to benefit elementary students in Waupaca.
